This February was really severe month, we went to Donetsk for a first time. So far on East we didn’t go yet. Our trip there took 10 hours and about 12 hours for the way back because of worsening of the weather condition. Team that traveled by car got home around 3 a.m.
But all those inconveniences were justified. We’ve been long waited in Donetsk and we haven’t seen such warm welcoming and fruitful co-operation. 194 people participated the conference. All of them were disposed to work and took part in it with enthusiasm. Participants appreciated professional work of our team so much that they invited us to have unofficial fellowship after the conference.
I was a special banquet – the celebration of Maslianitsa. They prepared many different pancakes, sang songs with words about each member of the team. We were so touched by all of it!
Practical lesson on developing the character of integrity for high school students went very successfully. Many participants indicated in their questionnaires that it was the most exciting part in the conference. Almost every participant affirmed their desire to teach “XRoads” in their schools.
Especially we’d like to honor the part of main specialist of Educational Administration in Dontesk’Oblast, the coordinator of preventive programs Svitlana Fedorivna Gordeichuk. In her closing speech she said to the audience: “ This program has a purpose to help our children and I encourage you to take advantage of it”.
