CrossRoads (XR) is an effective educational program and resource that provides educational, health and spiritual solutions to communities devastated by social crises (HIV/AIDS, drugs and violence). By presenting Jesus as the role model for character, CrossRoads’ powerful educational curriculum equips educators to address the whole person—helping youth make wise choices, changing lives, and restoring nations to health. CrossRoads is having significant impact in more than 60 countries and has earned the respect of governments and NGO’s around the world.
CrossRoads’ success comes from its unique approach. While many programs focus only on modifying visible negative behaviors, CrossRoads recognizes that lasting change occurs through character transformation, and that character transformation occurs through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The centerpiece of our school based strategy is a 30 lesson curriculum that focuses on character development and abstinence. We typically launch CrossRoads in a school by holding 3 or 4 day Teacher Training conferences for educators in a city, training 150 to 200 educators at a time to use the Life at the CrossRoads curriculum, and then continuing to support them as they use the curriculum with their students. |
